Annual Benefit

Screen shot 2013-09-11 at 12.42.07 PM

On Thursday, September 19, 2013, Socrates Sculpture Park held its annual gala at the waterfront studio of Mark di Suvero in Long Island City, Queens.  Nearly 300 friends, artists, and cultural leaders gathered to honor Shelley and Donald Rubin, philanthropists who have made a significant impact on the city's cultural landscape, as well as Rirkrit Tiravanija, an internationally renowned artist who played a major role in the park's 2012 exhibition, Civic Action: A Vision for Long Island City.  Thank you to all of our supporters, guests, and partners in making this evening a huge success!
