Access and FacilitiesThe Park is committed to remaining free and open to the public, every day of the year. There are two entrances on the North and South sides of the Park, which are open daily, 10am - sunset. The Park is roughly 4.5 acres and has a paved pathway around its perimeter to allow for easy wheelchair access. Individuals or groups with special needs are always welcome and are encouraged to contact the Park with any specific questions regarding your visit: 718-956-1819 Parking is available on the streets surrounding the Park. No parking is permitted directly on the premises unless arranged in advance. In the Summer, there are port-o-potties available on the grounds, to the left of the main (north gate) entrance. The Park does not currently operate a daily concession stand. However, there are a number of wonderful restaurants and bars, both within a short walking distance and within a short drive from the Park. For a list of our recommendations and their websites, click here. Please note that there is limited sheltered space within the Park. Bring your umbrella on rainy days; remember your sunscreen on sunny ones! Alcohol and BBQing are not permitted. Dogs must be leashed at all times. |

The Administrative Offices are located directly across the street from the Park's Broadway entrance at the intersection of Broadway, Vernon Boulevard and 11th Street. BY SUBWAY BY BUS DRIVING DIRECTIONS From the Midtown Tunnel: Stay right as you exit the tunnel and take Exit 14: "21st St./Long Island City". Follow 21st St. and make a left at the fourth traffic light, 46th Ave. Go two blocks and make a right onto Vernon Blvd. Follow Vernon Boulevard for approximately a mile and a half to the intersection of Broadway. From the Long Island Expressway Westbound: Take Exit 15 "Van Dam St." (This is the last exit before the tollbooth for the Midtown Tunnel). Make a right at the 1st light, Van Dam St. Go one block and then make a left onto Hunter's Point Ave. Proceed along Hunter's Point Avenue and make a right onto 21st St. Follow 21st St. to 46th Ave and make a left. Go two blocks and make a right onto Vernon Blvd. Follow Vernon Boulevard for approximately a mile and a half to the intersection of Broadway. From the Brooklyn Queens Expressway Eastbound: Take the McGuiness Avenue exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp make a left onto McGuiness Avenue North. Continue on McGuiness Avenue across the Pulaski Bridge. As you come off the bridge, go straight onto 11th Street for five blocks to 46th Ave and make a left. Go one block to Vernon Boulevard and make a right. Follow Vernon Boulevard for approximately one and a half miles to the intersection of Broadway. From the Brooklyn Queens Expressway Westbound: Exit at the Long Island Expressway Westbound. Continue to Exit 15: "Van Dam St.", the last exit before the tollbooth for the Midtown Tunnel. Make a right at the 1st light, Van Dam St. Go one block and then make a left onto Hunter's Point Ave. Continue along Hunter's Point Avenue and make a right onto 21st St. Follow 21st St. to 46th Ave and make a left.
