Summer
in Long Island City
June 12 13, 2004
Socrates Sculpture Park, a member of the Long Island City Cultural Alliance
(LICCA), is pleased to participate in a weekend event on June 12 and 13
highlighting the diverse and dynamic summer programming presented by LICCA
member organizations.
This exciting event, entitled Summer in Long Island City, will
coincide with the eagerly anticipated reopening of The Noguchi Museum.
The participating
member institutions include the American Museum of the Moving Image; Fisher
Landau Center for Art; the Museum for African Art; The Museum of Modern
Art, Queens; The Noguchi Museum; P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center; SculptureCenter;
Socrates Sculpture Park; and Thalia Spanish Theater. Organizations will
feature special programming, family activities and reduced or free admission.
As part of this celebration, Socrates will be hosting the following events:

3:00 pm Artist-led tour of the exhibition Field: science, technology
and nature
7:00 8:00 pm Flicker: A special screening of artist
