"Selected by Socrates" is a site-specific program of film and video works
that were selected by Alyson Baker and Robyn Donohue of Socrates Sculpture
Park in response to the park's artwork and surroundings. After the program's
screening at Socrates on the 17th, the same selections will be presented on
August 23rd at the western end of the pier at Riverside Park South.

To introduce the two screenings, Douglas Heingartner, AKA the MAN FROM
ATLANTIS, will mix video and sound clips of maritime history, travel films,
water, and sea chanteys.
