Weinthaler has been exhibiting since 1993. Selected group exhibitions include: International Exhibition of Women's Art, SOHO 20, New York, NY (2002); Other Routes, 126 Front Street, Brooklyn, NY (2002); Virtual Circus, The Revolving Museum, Boston, MA (2000); Public Execution, Max and Moritz, Berlin, Germany (2000); Sugar Show, 31 Grand, Brooklyn, NY (1999); Skin Grafts, T.C. Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (1998); Women Printmakers, Doughtery Arts Center, Austin, TX (1995); and Fingerlakes Exhibition, Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester, NY (1994).

Weinthaler has designed sets for The 24 Hour Plays since 1997 and has taught in Switzerland and New York. She has been the recipient of a number of grants and awards including: R.P.F. Award of Excellence, Memorial Art Gallery (1994); Witkin Drawing Award, Syracuse University (1991); and School of Art Award, Syracuse University (1989).
